Meet the Board of Directors for HMI Skate Park Society! This unique group of individuals bring years of knowledge and experience from many different fields all to one place that is committed to creating a better future.
Troy Derrick - President
Troy Started Skateboarding in 1988. He is a Motivational Speaker and Owner of The Devil's Toy Sk8 Co. and Well Kept Sustainables who wants to ensure that we keep promoting the roots of skateboarding and inspiring the next generation to follow the legacy. @well_kept_sustainables
Crystal MacDonald - Vice President
Crystal started Skateboarding in 2021. She is a First Nations Band Administrator who wants to provide safe spaces and opportunities for people to be able to overcome whatever boundaries life has put in front of them, all while learning new skills. @hatzsk8
Christine Tapp - Secretary
Christine started skateboarding in 2022. She is an Inclusive Education Support Worker with Surrey School District who wants to help build spaces where people of all ages can come together in an inclusive environment to have fun, To practice or learn a new sport, meet new people, and be active. @christinetapp
Cheyenne Williams - Treasurer
Cheyenne started Skateboarding in 2022. She is a Student Nurse who wants to help the society achieve the funds it needs to operate HMI Skate Park in Hope, BC and to create more indoor parks where communities can connect through skateboarding. @cheyenne_a_williams
Mike Faux - Executive Director
Mike Faux started Skateboarding in 1986. Mike is the owner of Hippie Mike Industries Inc., Protest Skateboards, and The Devil's Toy Sk8 Co. He wants to continue to provide positive opportunities for all generations to participate, learn, and grow together. @hippiemike1
